YouTube video by Sveta Kletina describing three methods for vamp springing
- uses a pointy women’s shoe
- springing to bring the back of the pattern up to the counter point
1. Cut and Spread
- cuts the half vamp pattern from top line to bottom line after the curve for the toe
- rotates the back portion to create a gap at the bottom
- tapes together on both sides to fill the gap
2. Split and Adjust Angle
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8dYFTDWFxk&t=55s
- starts with two-sided pattern
- splits in half again
- re-angle the two halves to bring the backs up to the counter point
- tape together again
- fold in half and lay on the last to check
3
