Blake Stitching

Also Known As: McKay Stitch

stitch running from the inside of a shoe through its insole and a midsole, outsole, or both

Performed originally by machine with Blake stitchers, then later later Littleway stitchers.

While Blake stitchers originally sewed chainstitches and Littleway stitchers lockstitches, many makers refer to any bottoming stitch through the inside of a shoe as “Blake” or “McKay”.
