- 10 grams flake rosin to metal tin
- 3 grams machine oil, olive oil, vegetable oil, “anything is ok”
- melts over alcohol lamp, mixing with toothpick
- dips ends of taws into rosin-oil mix over lamp
- pulls through leather patch to remove excess
- then submerges in water
- pulls through patch again
- drizzles rosin-oil mix on patches of leather
