- remove the whole grain side with glass
- start work on flesh side
- curved part: remove around 1 inch or more

- so scrap falls down to the floor, marble stays clean

- on lasting allowance, don’t have to be paper-thin
- maybe 1mm thick
- sawing motions for corners
- top edge has to be really thin
- do top edge last
- switches knife to one with more curved blade for the center
- removes the top of the original thickness left
- check with hands, smooth with the knife
- Don’t trust your eyes. Use your fingers.
- back to the glass for smoothing
- last step: the top edge, very steep angle
- keep your knife sharp!
