Heels

Vibram’s catalog lists two matching heel products:

  1. Number 700s, with washers, only in black nitrile, sizes 12 and 14

  2. Number 7335s, without washers, only in brown with cork, sizes 33, 35, and 37

As of January 2024, O. Baltor and Sons reports that 700s with washers are only available in black. However, Baltor and other distributors sometimes refer to 7335s as “700 heels”, as well, since they go with the brown cork 700 outsoles. Red Wing uses brown 700-style heels on many of its heritage boots, but those molds have their branding and are proprietary to them.

The 7335 heels without washers can be glued with a good contact cement. They can also be nailed from the bottom, since they have cork cores, but that doesn’t reportedly look very neat. It’s also possible to nail from inside the boot down and cover the heads with a sock liner.
