brand of plastic glue pots with removable airtight lids that fit over brushes sealed inside

Cleaning
These pots are sealed by melting lips of materials around their bottom plates and turning them over the top pieces. This makes them impractical to reopen and reseal.
One practical but imperfect way to clean:
-
Remove the lid and brush and leave the pot tilted upside down over a catch jar or plate to drain as much still flowing adhesive as possible.
-
Dig out as much remaining, dried-out adhesive as possible with a finger.
-
Pour in a small amount of solvent, such as alcohol or acetone, close the slide, and swish the solvent around in the pot. Leave it to sit 24 hours or more, then open and drain out.
