Bottom Filling

The process of filling the cavity within a welt.

• Cork Sheet or Filler
• Felt, sometimes with tar
• Foam
• Leather

Methods

Sheet material can be marked for trimming by chalking the bottom edge the upper, placing the material over the bottom, and pressing to transfer the chalk.
