Pricking Wheel

hand tool in the form of a gear-like roller with pointed protrusions held on an axle mounted on a shaft set into a handle, used for marking regular stitch spacing by pricking holes on the surface of the material

Pricking wheels are very similar to overstitch wheels, but typically have pointier teeth and sharp angles, rather than smooth curves, between points.

Over stitch wheels are also very similar in form and function to tracing wheels.
