people who repair shoes
Historically, in England, the term βcobblerβ was used variously, and sometimes disparagingly, for those less skilled than cordwainers, for those who practiced only repair and not making, or for those limited by law to rebuilding or repairing used shoes rather than making new shoes from new leather.
