- Coat the flesh side of the outsole with contact cement.
- Case the outsole.
- Glass the grain side.
- Coat the cavity of the shoe.
- Re-coat the flesh side of the outsole.
- Mount the outsole to the shoe.
- Hammer the outsole, using a piece of leather to avoid marking.
- Rub the outsole using a stick or the handle of a hammer.
- Press the welt.
- Whittle the outsole.
- Channel the outsole.
- Fudge.
- Outseam.
