- marks main axis down cone with pencil, then sets line of tape along it, traces other edge
- ball line
- draws topline, vamp line, cap line

- precuts longer strips off side of bench this time
- lays crosswise again, starting from toe, but just on the medial side
- traces lines from last up onto tape
- finishes by tracing the main axis again, then cuts it
- cuts featherline while tape still on last
- then does the other side
- corrects the cap line descending down the side
- cuts topline and peels away waste above
- peels from toe back
- sticks own to pattern board, flattens with fingers
- cuts slits in lasting allowance at toe tip with thread snips to flatten
- just a single layer of tape with small overlaps
- cutting over some kind of clear poly board
- cuts pattern slashes along vamp lines
- one-piece quarters with reverse seams at bottom of back curves
- uses compass to add lasting allowance
- 12:10 punches pairs of holes along lines to make cutting pattern slashes easier
