a pattern in the shape of the bottom of a last, often equivalent to the insole shape

In foreparts, backparts, and outside waists, bottom papers trace the featherlines. Through the arch, some interpretation is needed.

Bottom papers may be used to cut insoles, midsoles, and footbeds.
